Grow the Change addresses regenerative system design through a lens of social justice and a focus on access equality.

Our initiatives support the creation of local gardens and food forests in areas considered “food deserts” around the world, and inspire a renewed connection to the land and to our earth.

We grow food and train our community in self-sufficiency as a prayer, as rebellion, as protest, as art, as healing, as self-care, as magic, as communion and connection.

From planting seeds for vegetables to seeding new forests for our planet’s decarbonization, these acts are the deepest connection point to access our planet’s life force in its purest form.

Burning Man 2020: A Forest Multiverse

The tradition of the Burning Man Festival includes burning of temporary structures to experience impermanence. This year, in lieu of the festival, and in service of the world’s need for more regenerative acts, we are planting trees and supporting the Burning Man community in taking their impact off the Playa and into the world.

Everyone (Burner and non-Burner) is welcome to take part.

We’re supporting tree planting initiatives worldwide.

Trees are called the “lungs of the planet.” They provide the world’s oxygen, and develop root systems that extend deep into the soil to source the nutrients they need and communicate with other trees.

This is a perfect example of networked impact, the kind of impact our humanity is capable of in an internet age for the first time: and just in time.

Based on years of research, Grow the Change’s Tree Map features 200 of the world’s Tree Heroes. Together we can nurture organizations worldwide that are restoring our forests and reversin global warming.

Use the map below to explore our partner organizations: where they work and what we can learn from them, and consider making a donation to support their work.
